Yeah, I saw that story. It was weird. It's also the second Russia story Hersh has botched in just a few months. As you may recall, he recently claimed that Putin had called for negotiations, and that he would, for some inexplicable reason, now be willing to allow Ukraine to join NATO.

Interesting. I've thought the same about Hersh over his last few articles related to Russia. And after reading his latest I almost canceled my sub to his stack. Then I though, "Everyone has their biases, places their ego cannot go. Perhaps Russia is one of Hersh's. Perhaps in the game of lies played by our governments and media, I am going to hear stories my ego doesn't want to hear."

I stopped listening to Hersh some time ago. I do not remember what it was exactly that turned me off besides the paywall.
