The tryout for the SW Airlines ad is priceless. You do not need to be a veteran to bust a gut on that. Even someone like me with virtually no experience or knowledge of firearms. Scope facing backward with lens cap still on. Unreal.
I guess it's because I haven't met many Trump cultists; I have met a very few, but most of the people I've met who voted for Trump, and seen on TV for that matter, don't strike me as cultists.
More like frustrated people who really hate the libs and their policies, and they have a variety of political views. It's only the Democrats who march lock-step in 2024.
I guess it depends on your definition of cult. If you're going to cite Democratic cultists, well certainly Trump's most rabid supporters fit the bill, even though you personally have never met any. The base is hardcore and their beliefs in Dear Leader have been display for anyone willing to look. The man himself said he could kill some one on 5th Avenue and his voters would still vote for him. Is there any doubt?
I go back to the guy holding the sign that says Trump won. Ah, no. And yet despite all facts, statistics, investigations, court decisions--millions of his supporters actually believe as the unvarnished truth that he was reelected. At the very least, that is a mass delusion, and cult like.
On the other side of the aisle, I'm sure millions still believe he's a Russian agent (somehow sneaky and super dumb at the same time), despite the fact that the whole Russiagate narrative has been discredited time and again through both official investigation and independent work from everyone from Bob Woodward to Taibbi, Greenwald, Mate and the like.
Hey, what do I know? I'm just a guy north of border watching your country implode thanks, in no small part, to these kinds of mass delusions and cultish beliefs.
Well, I'm south of the border and, for the first time in my life, extremely glad of it. The Liberal Canadian Government is a bunch of batshit crazy cultish authoritarians with absolutely no respect for basic rights such as political free speech.
I know that from just watching Trudeau & Company and listening to what Canadians have to say.
I can't say Trump cultists don't exist, but I can't blame anyone for thinking the 2020 election was rigged. Easily programmable electronic voting machines, mail-in ballots from whoever mailed them in knows where, etc. And this was after Bush v Gore and then the Dems rigging two primaries in a row in the most obvious way imaginable.
I guess my attitude is colored because the Trumpers are no threat to my own rights. The Democrats clearly ARE a very real threat right now.
"In response to all of the above, House Speaker Mike Johnson announced there will be a vote, or votes, on $14 billion more for Israel and $61 billion for Ukraine."
So, the latest is that Iran's simple sprinkling of drones with a few warning missles - cost $35 million. The Israeli defecne cost $1-1.5billion. But that's Israeli figures only. Add in the US, UK etc and it is $2-3 billion. On the most conservative estimates, let's put those numbers together.
35,000,000
1,500,000,000
Yeah....
With $14 billion more, Israel can last at best, just over a week playing stupid and assasinating people on Iranian soil while Iran can merely wave its hand and send the whole country into panic without harming a single head on anyone's head but costing a hell of a lot of American taxpayer dollars.
Bugs always says "maroon" instead of "moron." Well, kids did watch those cartoons and there was a LOT more censorship in the US in the years Bugs Bunny was made. Now, it's traditional.
Your own comment shows the meaning comes through regardless.
I guess those Everest hikers weren't in Scouts. Pretty sure they told us to take your trash with you and leave a clean campsite. 🤷♀️
Even the Park Service tells us that. No, these were privileged people who probably complained that the Nepalese didn't provide dumpsters.

Ukraine is a moot point. They may get billions for Kyiv leadership to buy houses, cars and yachts, but Israel gets the equipment.
And as Kuleba complained, the US and UK were shooting down drones heading to Israel but don't do the same for Ukraine.
And if equipment could be bought, there are no more Ukrainians - some villages have no more young or middle-aged men.
Well, there's also equality - more Ukrainian women are showing up on battlefields.
"Democratic cultists and Trump supporters"?
How about: "Trump Delusional Syndrome Sufferers and Trump Cultists" (see "Trump won" sign).
Fixed it for ya.

Israel and the US spending a whopping $1 billion against a mere $1 million in Iranian old missiles. Priceless.
Hmm... Please send mushroom bites. Thanks!

It's the land of the free, don't ya know?
Yes, Ebenezer Scrooge would no doubt be investing in Iran. They're obviously more sensible with their money.
Lol I'm gonna be a spelling Nazi. Is Bugs supposed to be saying moron or maroon? LOL. It made me chuckle. Good article though!!

DId he?!?! I remember watching Bugs (Roadrunner was my fave) and now i'm trying to think if he did say that here in the UK.
I don't know if there were different British and American versions. You will have to tell me.
I live in the United States of n s t Israel, so I can only say, Thank you for your hard work, a really great post.
