The US Empire likes instability because it's easier to extract wealth from countries when everything's a bloody balls up. The last thing it wants are stable AND popular governments.

The biggest recent example of that is definitely Russia.

Exactly! They are behind all the terrorist activity in the Sahel region, as well as other parts of Africa. The people are onto the US/West games and kicking them out. Somalia's Al-Shabaab was created by the M16. Problem is the West has a vassal installed in Somalia. He needs to be removed asap.

The UN is useless. I'm sure that you remember the Minsk accords unanimously approved by the UN Security Council almost ten years ago that would have ended the Ukrainian civil war long, long ago. Instead I could see the reports of shelling Donetsk and Lugansk, and see long trains of tanks coming to Eastern Ukraine a year before the DPR and LPR finally asked Russia for help with Biden finally turning this back into a hot, deadly, destructive war.

Does the UN ever do anything meaningful and productive?

The U.N. are just bureau-cats. They sit in their ivory tower, look out the window and observe just like my tuxedo cat.

"Governor Goodhair" made me think of the late Molly Ivins.

If plastic could be personified it would resemble Gavin Newsom. Although the last thing I would do is follow the guy, I would bet that his hair isn't the only thing about him that is artificial.

I grew up in San Antonio and lived in Austin. I used to read Molly Ivins in the paper all the time, and later in magazines. I no doubt use some of her, and Jim Hightower's, quips without even thinking about it.

Remember, Nuland cackled that Putin should expect "surprises". Looks like Nuland, Zelensky, and the US will be doing what they love best - killing civilians. I predicted Zelensky would get desperate and ugly - well, even more desperate and ugly - and yep.

Got a (basically fundraising) email yesterday about standing with Bernie on Gaza. The days are long gone when I would stand with Bernie on anything at all, because it is all just pandering rhetoric now, trying to milk some more votes and dollars for the Dems. I donated a nice unsubscribe to them.

I read that the company that chartered that ship the hit the bridge wanted to, or succeeded in, making a law that whistleblowers were required to report problems to the corporation first, so they could investigate them at their leisure. Basically making whistleblowing against the law. Something like that.

Zelensky must be getting desperate. For that matter, the Biden Regime as a whole must be getting desperate. As for the terrorist operation, remember Spies Like Us?

"The Russians are quick. The Chinese are neat. And we're messy."

Everything about this Crocus terrorist operation was messy. It has CIA written all over it.

With regard to the Francis Scott Key Bridge debacle, the smart thing of course would have been to have a tug boat escort large tankers to prevent the collision. But that would have cost corporations money. This way more corporations can make money.

One day I expect the US/GB to let Julian Assange go free directly into a mental hospital.

I wouldn't buy a used car from Governor Gavin Newsom

Don't under estimate the ability of Israel to get Trump to do their bidding. They most likely have copies of embarassing video tapes.

Most likely there are “reasonable grounds” to conclude that Israel has committed 7 out of 5 acts classified under the UN Genocide Convention as genocide.

"Israel made a very big mistake."--Donald Trump, on Israeli television in the last day or three, on how Israel is conducting itself, and covering itself, in Gaza.

He's already trying to find a way to, no doubt regretfully, back away from Israel. And he will succeed. Russell Dobular called Trump the Mr. Magoo of American politics and he's got a point.

Trump lost, won, and lost fortunes on the real estate market. He's used to stiffing contractors, dodging legal bills, and screwing investors. But he didn't come up through the political system, and never got used to the idea of killing large numbers of people in the abstract as just routine.

It makes him feel bad, he doesn't like it, and he instinctively recoils from it when he's faced with it. This isn't the same thing as him riling up a crowd and talking shit to own the libs. Trump's a snake-oil salesman, but he doesn't seem to be comfortable with mass murder.

Or maybe Israel does have him by the short hairs. Perhaps we will find out.

'Genocide Joe' Biden and Benjamin 'Unhinged' Netanyahu are both joined at the hip. There are in too deep. There is no turning back. Both know they are facing the docket at another Nuremberg trial for crimes against humanity like Goering, Himmler, Eichmann et.al. The immediate danger comes from Netanyahu who is a threat to anyone or any nation that tries to stop him in his genocidal mission.

Lol. Be careful with that on other websites. I replied to Adam Schiff on XTwitter that he should face a Nuremburg-style trial, sitting in his jail cell listening to them build the gallows.

Shit's office no doubt complained. I was permanently banned for calling for violence. This was under Elon Musk, BTW.
