I appreciate the link - having lost contact with certain family members-old friends for pointing out either that Putin is not the next Hitler and/or the Garland Nixon cliche 'if someone put a gun to my head and told me I would have to vote for Trump or Biden, then I would probably vote for Trump'.........solidarity through what's left of social media is so important these days. I am encouraged by my older son who had opposed the Iraq War and has struggled to move out on his own and has now seemingly found a job with livable wage, told me that he agreed with the Nixon pov and he has so few friends he can share this pov with... I have been reading two worthwhile resources recently that I was referred to also by Garland Nixon - one is THE BEAST REAWAKENS (Lee/2000) ....The second I haven't started yet CONJURING HITLER - How Britain and America Made the Third Reich....both of these seem to fit with the Good thesis.
I'm now beginning to see the argument that Israel as the aircraft carrier for the US and it's the US that drives Israeli policy not the other way around... it's worthwhile pointing out how in the early 20th century, Churchill was Lord of the Admiralty and prominent in modernizing the Royal Navy thus converting it from coal to petroleum.....just precedes Balfour Agreement establishing a home for Jews in the then Ottoman territories.
I can't wait for South Park to do a satire of the upcoming Marvel Avenger movie on "Sabra" (the Israeli superheroine sort of like Wonder Woman--but not Gal Gadot). I bet we all can boycott and tank that film before it gets out of production... Along with the current release "Golda" about Israeli P.M. Golda Meir. Now that's a film that deserves to end up in the dustbin of history along with its anti-Palestinian inspiration.
