UGH! That was quite a slog. Good work, but 'Merica is a slog everywhere you go these days.

For some inspiration, check out these two videos on George Galloway...

Imagine -- I know it is impossible to -- American Democrats/liberals taking on the same kind of pugnaciousness. Notice how people begin to gather behind him, nodding in agreement. Then notice the "what just-happened" look on the interviewer's face as George saunters away and then how the crowd takes over, speaks up for themselves as the interviewer tries to smear them.

It is a powerful real-life demonstration of grassroots politics.

Here he calls out the corruption and Zionist buy-out of the UK (US) political system:

Thanks to OB - the frustration with the status quo is endless and nauseating...So bare with me as I try to embellish but not hijack the above superb commentary...The hilarity comes from Alex Christoforou's sharing of a tweet regarding the Biden SoU - in essence that every US man/woman/other should be able to share the benefits of such a cocktail of which Biden was the apparent beneficiary..

Though I consider myself non-religious, I do believe that religious institutions are essential for transmission of ethics/moral values and I contribute, to to the extent possible, in singing in the choir...Most recently, I critiqued absence of church of choice's acknowledgement of ongoing Gaza crisis and pointed out that their forthcoming presentation of the 'ancient history' of the conflict in question was a distraction from the political realities. (with examples from Bushnell self-immolation, ICJ testimonies, etc., etc.)...The rector defended this presentation and here was my response - thanks in advance for listening I'm deeply troubled by the independent news' on the Gaza-Palestine crisis.

"Briefly, in my view, looking at the ancient history is at best a distraction and at worst racist…I say racist, because it implies that the different ethnic groups’ religion (Christianity, Muslim, Judaism) that made up historic Palestine were/are continually fighting because one or more of those ethnic groups (normally this is applied to Muslims through Islamophobia) is prone to irrational violence. Most recently until the early 20th century, the three religious groups lived peaceably until the break-up of the Ottoman Empire, and through the Balfour Declaration established the British Mandate of Palestine…This policy opened up European Jewish colonial settlement which accelerated exponentially after World War II in the Nakba…The European Jewish settlement under the ideology of Zionism did involve ethnic cleansing and murder/displacement/elimination of culture of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians as well as the murder of UK and UN diplomats. Major political leaders of this movement (i.e., Menachim Begin and Yitzak Shamir +) later became Israeli Prime Ministers. This is why it is argued that the occupation/dispossession/ethnic cleansing goes back 75 years and continues. University of Chicago Professor John Mearsheimer who has written extensively about the Israeli lobby’s control of the US media, politicians and academia and argues that this control prevents actual public assessment of these policies which would, in fact, be beneficial for both countries. " On a positive note I continue to be inspired by mass mobilizations-protests against US politicians, most recently, the protest ongoing during Biden's SOU.

My husband suggests that Joe Biden not be transitioned to a Dalek, but rather to a Cyberman. Daleks are mutants from Skaro fueled by hate, but Cyberman are cold and emotionless automatons that used to be human.

And I'm never going to be able to look at Bajorans and Romulans in quite the same way ever again. (The Bajorans were the "good guys" after all.) Great post!

"Cyberman are cold and emotionless automatons that used to be human." Tell your husband I thought about that, but Cybermen ARE cold and emotionless; Daleks are angry, partly because most of them have to obey all of the time. Biden sure gets angry a lot, so I used Daleks.

If he'd been Obama now, then I would have used a Cyberman.

Do the Dems really think doubling down on war is going to win them votes? Truly a bunch of sick, delusional clowns.

Yah. Biden led off with a Rah! Rah! Ukraine schtick. They pumped him full of enough drugs to get him through just this one speech, but from what I've seen of it Biden just looks deranged.
