It's really, really hard to find reliable, or moderately reliable, information on Ukraine. Here's a couple on mobilization impacts:

In the south of Ukraine, the city of Nikolaev has partially shut down public transport this week. Because of the new law on increased mobilisation, there is no one to drive the buses and trolleybuses.

The mayor's office in Nikolaev has announced a reduction in routes.

"Buses will be left standing, there is no one to drive them," said Nikolaev Mayor Alexander Senkevich. According to him, the mobilised drivers could be replaced by women, but they do not want to work on the buses.

Also, there are around 94,000 men on the mobilization lists. I know it sounds like a lot, but with the current daily killed in action count of about 1200 day, or more, from the Russian Ministry of Defense, that's about 2 1/2 months. It's also my estimate - there are few verifiable facts available.

What a disaster. The Zelensky regime has created its own Holodomor that it can stop at any time it chooses.

I think that'd take US permission, just like Zelensky and Mike Johnson are asking the US to approve strikes in Russia with US long distance weapons.

It's a very scary idea - Medvedev has said Russia reserves the right to respond with nuclear weapons in response if it happens.

I can see the commercial tag now: "Killer Bee Beer--all of the sting of an ale with a smooth, honey-sweet after taste."

I'm just hoping and praying that they charge the entire Congress with war crimes. I want to see them all sweat and piss and poop in their pants--from a distance wearing a nose plug, that is.

I'd volunteer to do guard duty just so I could laugh at them. The odor would be worth it.

I am 36% Welsh. Can't sing, but I imagine I'd do just fine mining coal or raising sheep. Superb commentary as usual. Go, Wales!!!

Plain US Navy English will get your attention. It worked on me stepping off the bus in frozen Northern Illinois late December 1968.

Clevelander here. I feel your pain about the political commercials OB. I may upgrade my streaming subs to commercial-free just to avoid them.

Its a mystery to me that that oft-quoted oath people in the US issue, you know; the one about enemies, foreign and domestic ... seem not to be able to see that your once promising future has been hollowed out by DOMESTIC enemies; yes, they're there, as clear as day, in your congress, your police forces, your universities, your two major political parties, your major banks, your arms manufacturers. Once the people realise that your nation of too many laws that force you to work two and three jobs just to keep your head above water, or to afford reasonable health care is too much for you to sustain, then I shudder to think how a united people will react. Stop and think, supporting and sustaining greater disparity of wealth (and worse, frittering it away on foreign wars and support for Israel) is not doing any good for the average American. I think a reckoning is coming and its not going to be pretty.

Oh, and by the way, it is time for the countries of the world to REVOKE their recognition of Israel as a state and to recognise Palestine as a state. And, also by the way, your entire state department needs to be cleared out when you start again, your 40-plus 4-star generals need to be retired (after WWII you only had 7).
