Kucinich is just the best.

I regard Dennis Kucinich to be a leader on par with Eugene V. Debbs. THAT is my highest compliment.

If Kucinich talks to Trump, would Trump listen.....Signalgate sort of is a metaphor for how Team Trump is way out of their league....The only card Trump can pay is the showmanship card, if he happens to have a good idea, that would totally be accidental.

I wouldn't bet a paycheck on Trump listening to Kucinich, that's for sure. Trump probably learned about the Federal Reserve from somebody like Steve Bannon, but he hates it because it was created by the same Constitutional Amendment that made the income tax possible, not because it's a creature of the banks.

Dennis hates it for the right reasons.

Listened to Wolff and Hudson discuss this today. Everything that Kucinich says is true......but none of the political parties understand or if they did care to change anything.....Trump's fixation on MAGA is taking it back to the gilded age when totally different mechanisms were at play. America will be great for the wealthy and Israel but no one else....The rest of the world has figured Trump out ahead of US public....which will look for scapegoats rather than the real problem which is the ruling elites of both parties.

That's the plan...I'm not so sure about what the US public will do. Not this time.

Unfortunately, unlike the late 19th century-early 20th century gilded age, the political-intellecual movements within the US are dead. Given the state of the US education system, don't know what it would take to awaken them. Right now the solution is to blame immigrants or poor countries (Myanmar, Cuba, etc., etc.) for the problems the US politicians create.

Kucinich got robbed! You know what I mean.

I have been enjoying the episodes of Jimmy Dore where Maté guest hosts. I missed this one though. Will give a listen.

Sure I know what you mean! I was here when they robbed him.

We're supposed to consider other perspectives? Historical context? Honestly: I'm not sure where to begin with deconstructing how allegedly intelligent people have arrived at such a sad, sorry state of mind. Kucinich and Mate are insightful, fearless humans. (You, too, Barbarian.) Appreciate the dialogue and observations, even when I don't always agree: it's food for thought.

I just wish he was young enough to run for President (if that makes any difference these days).

I certainly supported him in 2004 & 2008.

Imagine if he had won instead of Obama.

Dennis has been right for so long on so many topics, it's hard to keep track. The best testament to his bona fides as a populist Democrat happened cifty years ago, when he was mayor of Cleveland. TPTB tried to extort the city into selling the municipal electric company to the. Monopoly utility, the Illuminating Company. (Same company that got caught bribing state legislators and the head of the state utility watchdog agency to charge customers for the costs of repairing two decrepit nuclear plants and a couple of century-old coal plants - one of which isn't even in the state. Biggest scandal in Ohio history.) Dennis refused, and the next day, by complete coincidence I'm sure, all the banks simultaneously demanded payment in full of all the city's outstanding loans. So the approved narrative became "Kucinich bankrupts Cleveland" - not true by the way, the city defaulted on the loans and renegotiated them - and a recall drive started. He survived the recall, but was defeated in the next mayoral race by establishment darling George Voinovich (who would later become governor and a US Senator). But Kucinich's legacy remains. Cleveland Public Power has saved the residents of Cleveland and some of the inner ring suburbs hundreds of millions of dollars.

I'm STILL paying lower electric bills because of the stand Kucinich made for Cleveland Public Power back then.
