Stupid no. In denial, like the majority of the ruling class of media and political elites, yes.

Odd word for what the rest of us see,and they know we see. And, to me,ignoring the reality to sell a lie which impacts all civilians, is the death knell. We should invent a better word . Neither word suffices.

Black men not voting Dem I understand.

But Dems will get the black woman vote...that I don't understand.

People

Planet

Peace

Dear citizens. Vote your conscience

I don't get that either. My workplace is mostly black women, and most of them are all in for $kamala. Not all, though, not by any means. But none of them are voting for Trump to my knowledge. Of course, neither am I, so I can't blame them.

You echo my experience of the Obama years. He was the main reason I left the Dem party.

Now check out the new Skamala ad aimed at male votes. Jimmy and Kurt do a hilarious job of pulling it apart. The ad had to have been written by gaggle of woke women.. It WILL drive votes ... for Trump. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbmVDGzOWa8

The Democratic Party is so damn out of touch ... off in some faraway galaxy ... where the sun is dying.

I was looking for anyone in that clip that I recognized at the local or congressional level in this sham of an Obama stump. I didn't see Summer Lee, so that's good.

Obama CLEARLY kept silent on Obamala early this year FOR GOOD REASON. I think has been on his 40 acres at Martha's too long to re-connect with the American people. What a load of shit! All I see in the burgh looking on are a bunch of curiosity seekers. I don't know how ANYONE could believe this bullshit... And, Barack, baby... It is no longer 2008... It's 2024 and all those people (like me) who believed in all that hope and change would love now to get their change back from the needle never moving from a minimum wage of $7.25/hour...

Barack didn't do ANYTHING but look the other way for BushCo's war criminality, never put on his comfortable shoes to stand up for ordinary Americans who swallowed what he ran on as the reality of Wall Street getting bailed out sank in. He never hesitated to drone bomb more people in this world than BushCo ever did, and clearly did not seem to have any problems with them being out-of-the-country Americans.

Remember when this piece of shit ran on codifying Roe v Wade and said it was gonna be the FIRST thing that he did? Yeah... Okay, Mr, & Mrs. America. You know the game that's being played yet?

I feel the same way, as you well know. I remember that last point very well indeed. For Democrats, abortion's just a big part of their grifting operation, and they're desperately milking it for all its worth while they still can.

Unfortunately for them, we've all seen this movie before, several times. There are those who will prove Lincoln was right when he said you can full some of the people all of the time, and I don't think it's going to fly in Pennsylvania this time.

Speaking of Obama and the failing political class, this Sky News story about Gavin Newsom banning an AI parody of Kamala Harris was begging to be shared and had even me, pessimism and all, rolling in laughter. https://youtu.be/NIz-aoZFzM4

He did indeed. A federal court issued an injunction shortly thereafter. If memory serves, the judge said it was obviously political satire and therefore protected by the First Amendment.

Then John Kerry described the First Amendment as an obstacle to democracy or something. The doublethink never stops.

I haven't. I imagine she is one of the millions without power. The hurricane veered south of her, so she should have missed the worst of the wind.

Malcom X

“So you have two types of Negro. The old type and the new type. Most of you know the old type. When you read about him in history during slavery he was called "Uncle Tom." He was the house Negro. And during slavery you had two Negroes. You had the house Negro and the field Negro.

The house Negro usually lived close to his master. He dressed like his master. He wore his master's second-hand clothes. He ate food that his master left on the table. And he lived in his master's house--probably in the basement or the attic--but he still lived in the master's house.“

Odd the repeated suggestion in that video that black men were in some kind of competition for resources with immigrants. Surely a) their true competition is white men, and b) in a civilised society founded on egalité, fraternité etc, no such competition should actually exist.

Two months into Obama's first term, I knew he was worthless. I never voted Democrat again. And I am old enough to have voted for McGovern and I did, btw.

Ah, you're my honored elder, then! My first vote was cast for Carter 4 years later. Obama started disappointing me as soon as he was elected. When he said he admired Ronald Reagan and would govern like him, I knew I should have voted for Nader.

Penelope Prill's avatar

Indeed. I voted for Anderson, not Carter. I suffered mightily during the Reagan administration. I found him to be a mindless shill. My aunt heard him speak on the factory floor as a shill for GE. She understood him to be a corporate lackey at once. Jimmy Carter had brains at least; commanding a nuclear submarine is not for the stupid. Actually, I had no idea Clinton was such a rotter until he was out of office for awhile. Now I realize we haven't had a decent president since Kennedy and that was THE PLAN.

Expand full comment
Ohio Barbarian's avatar

I was so convinced Reagan was going to get us all nuked I said WTF and made some stupid choices back then. Oh, Carter never commanded a nuclear sub, but he was the engineering officer on one, so he was definitely intelligent.

Intelligent people can still make bad decisions, like picking Brzezinski as National Security Advisor. Fucking Russophobe.

"Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for [Biden] or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

- Joe Biden (2020)

“And you are thinking about sitting out? Part of it makes me think — and I'm speaking to men directly — part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren't feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you're coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that.”
