Yup.

Also funny how "Mr. Balls" pretty much asked Putin not to hurt him before he made his "surprise" visit to Kyiv. In other news, IMO, the US is such a corrupt bully that there will not be any consequences no matter what Biden/Zelensky/NATO/EU do. And it is evidently very okay for Ukraine to drop chemical weapons on Russians. Remember, and this is true of Democrats, dunno about the GOP - anything the Dems do, ANYTHING - no matter how murderous and/or illegal and/or just plain wrong - is okay because their ends justify their means. Pretty scary shit, really. And yes, I think something is coming, and I pretty much dread it.

True, yet here are a few extra points. The establishment is rather good in

silencing or smearing any opposition. The places where Hersh gives

interviews are not seen by most (Consortiumnews). This action against

the constitution gives TPTB the perfect blackmail issue, even so far

as the use of "tactical mini-nukes" are concerned. Lastly, I doubt that

Russia will ever deal with Europe again, because the trust is gone. Also,

the last revolution in Western Europe took place a long time ago. So,

more or less most of the people have become sheep living in denial.

They will keep blaming the "evil Kremlin" for the disasters coming

their way, no matter what the facts are.

What's important is that the BBC is reporting on Sy Hersh's expose, and Hersh has already been on German and Hungarian television. Chances are the reaction in Europe will happen faster than anything in the US.

Personally, I am not counting on any of these morons in Washington, D.C. to be useful in anything whatsoever.

Experience does count in this manner. In the 1990s, William "Slick Willy" Clinton did everything in his power to set up a world economic collapse. What did the Republicans do? They spent tens of millions of dollars to prosecute Clinton for a blow-job. Then his Republican arch-nemesis, Newt Gingrich, got caught not only getting a blow-job, with a big added makings/bonus of full-frontal nudity. Nothing like hands down one-upmanship. In the end, Clinton got his tax haven foundation and Gingrich got his media gig. Which, by the way, Clinton signed the media bill into law for this to happen.

All of this seems like one big circle jerk. For the sake of my sanity, it is my belief Washington, D.C. is beyond redemption. Therefore, I refuse to take part in, "Thank-you sir, may I have another?"

I will see tomorrow what Biden said in Poland and what Putin said in Russia. Yes, of course, Biden, Blinken, Nuland, Kirby, Sullivan et al. should be tried for crimes against humanity, and Biden impeached and the first President removed from office, but, well, that'll be the day ;-)

I heard today one report of 300,000 Ukrainians killed in action so far - but it's of course unverifiable. The total will likely never be known as Ukraine is being emptied - or buried.

I'm with @djean111 here - I worry about a big escalation, but then, I worry should nothing change tomorrow. If nothing changes, it'll just continue to grind Ukrainians and Ukraine into dust, for only the benefit of the military industrial complex.

The Ukrainians I know want peace - but I don't believe Biden and Zelensky will give them the opportunity.

Biden and Zelensky are not even remotely interested in Ukrainian or American citizens. In any way. We are all just tools and profit points. I have to think that Biden is going to quadruple down on this, because I think this is what the Biden/other horrible Democrat will be running on for 2024. Funny to read the Dem bellwethers - they don't know whether to go after Trump or DeSantis; the Dems prefer to have only one bogeyman to vilify. Ukraine is, sorry to say, really just a money-laundering tool and a campaign issue, here in the US. And Zelensky/UK/EU/NATO will all be "interfering" with the elections, with the Democrats' blessings.

Well, no changes so far. Joey talked about sanctions against Russia and defending every inch of NATO territory, which has nothing to do with Ukraine. sanctions. He mentioned 1.5 refugees in Poland, but nothing about the 9.7 million refugees who crossed the border into Poland. No mention of the 100,000 or more Ukrainians killed in action.

Same from Putin - no real changes to the Special Military Action, but he did say if longer range weapons are used, Russia will move the line of the operation correspondingly west.

So it continues as it has - more weapons from Joey and the West, and continuing death and destruction of Ukraine and Ukrainians.

I am amazed how the worm turns in ways that only Mel Brooks could explain via history of the world, Chapter 2023. The rate at which people are leaving mainstream controls over what money is or how to survive the insanity either isolates you or turns you into an internet nomad, seeking the answer. The last attempt of leadership was the CIA being recommended to be blown into a million pieces and scattered to the wind. Seymour Harsh's reporting has to be kept alive by us in any tribal way possible. Trying to keep hope alive in our own way (we all know what we are capable of doing individually), the best thing I can hope for is to prepare for the US war/petro-dollar to die. I would love for capitalism to be seen for what it truly is, a blow job that takes so much Viagra to sustain, many dicks fall off. We might see the start of this, but will we ever get to the point where the last empire goes?

Biden has not even mentioned the debacle in Ohio, much less visited it. Which would have been more apropos for POTUS Day, IMO. Trump visited Ohio, by the way. Biden has now promised to pay Ukraine's social services and pensions costs. At a time when the very existence of the social services in the US - which Biden has ALWAYS wanted to cut, his entire grifting career - are being used as political footballs. WTF. I bet that deal is already lurking under the table.

It seems to me like the corrupt vultures are frantically scraping the last gravy from that Ukrainian Gravy Express; frightening to think about what drastic measures will be taken to keep that train rolling along and filling pockets and bank accounts in the US and Ukraine. Zelensky is the perfect mad clown choice to use nuclear weapons in a fit of calculated rage, knowing that once it is done, it is done - no going back is possible.

Heartening to see how BRICS and SPFS and MIR are progressing, among other US-free ventures, along with countries considering dumping the petrodollar apparatus. Bad for the US and good for the world. As opposed to good for the US and bad for everybody else, including US citizens.

I would say that Kyiv visit and the asking Putin for permission for it make Biden look weak to the world, but the "news" media control that narrative for the most part. Hopefully the information about Nordstream terrorist sabotage will make a dent, but hey, sorry I have to think this is now just old news.

I too thought it odd that Joe didn’t bother to show up in Ohio but moved heaven and earth to get to Ukraine. Why doesn’t he just declare the place our 51st state and have done with it? Or,if he wants to fight in Ukraine so badly, let him and Putin have a duel—pop guns at 30 paces, loser gets Ukraine.

From Reddit - After 17 years, the CDC just changed the toxicology profile for Vinyl Chloride in January. From 100 ppm to 100,000 ppm. In January.

And Biden has now said the EPA will be checking homes for safety. So far - golly, everyone is safe! Ignore the dead fish and oily water that bubbles when you throw a rock into it. Our government seems to be in end-stage fascism in addition to end-stage capitalism. But all the money will flow to pockets in Ukraine. Not even to Ukrainians.

Biden does not want himself or Buttigieg or any Democrat to be directly connected to the train wreck. And "train wreck" describes the Biden administration perfectly. Full of noxious poisonous substances.

Words cannot express the berserker rage I felt when I read that about changing the toxicology profile. Just move the goalpost, stamp the official seal on it, problem solved.

Buttigieg showed up in E. Palestine today, a day after Trump and a week after Senator JD Vance, who saw dead fish for himself. The Rat weaseled his way through a speech and brief press conference, and in general looked like he expected The Cat to show up at any second.

Tough crowd in E. Palestine for Sec. Ratfink. In case you haven't noticed, he really disgusts me. Told a reporter he wouldn't talk to her while he was walking somewhere because he was on his "personal time." Then he held up his phone and asked if he could take her picture. Like to send the FBI or something.

Yep. Blinken just announced the new target today. It's Nigeria.

Biden said America would always stand by Ukraine.

That means Ukraine's fucked. Like we stood by our good buddies in South Vietnam and Cambodia. The West is running out of artillery ammunition they can send to Ukraine. Russia's manufacturing the stuff round the clock. Nobody can manufacture ammo faster than the Russians. The Russians are doing unto the Ukrainians what the Allies did to the Germans in September 1918.

So they know the jig will be up. They also know that NATO might not last through 2024. Things will happen in Europe. But we can sail to Nigeria without European cooperation. The war pigs must be fed or the Empire will fall.

This comment from djean111 captures my thoughts - though I agree with every comment above about the theatrics, etc., etc.- "Heartening to see how BRICS and SPFS and MIR are progressing, among other US-free ventures, along with countries considering dumping the petrodollar apparatus. Forget about climate change it's Joe Biden and the Washington neocons that are the planet/hummanity's biggest threat....And as as djean put it and as I - having a rare moment of socializing over coffee yesterday thought about what was in the future - the only thing that gives me hope is the emergence of multi-polarity...No it won't be perfect and I certainly think that those in Amerikku won't necessarily be better off, but the rest of the the world will be a better place... and Putin, Lavrov, Wang Yi, India's foreign minister are talented and have their ducks in order.

Heads up everyone! It's now about 11:00 a.m. est...Just heard that Ray McGovern is going to give a presentation on the Hersh article (+) to the UNSC today - perhaps (???!!) there will be CSPAN coverage or alternatively, we'll have to wait for coverage via the usual suspects.

Today, 22 February, here is an update on where the UNSC stands - Consortium News began posting the live session yesterday and apparently both Ray McGovern and Jeffrey Sachs spoke. Per the link I have, Consortium continues the session broadcast. A vote to investigate the sabotage was not taken by the UNSC yesterday, 21 February, but - per the comments (all worth reading) will happen later in the week.

Alfred deZayas had a very good article about this recently in Counterpunch and also through Natalye's Place. Title of the article is The Ukraine War in Light of the UN Charter. He makes the point that UN funding has to a large extent come from the West. He puts the entire conflict in Ukraine and addresses UN responses and contradictions vis a vis Western interventions...To quote him, " Many resolutions and pronouncements by successive Secretary Generals apply international law selectively, à la carte. What the 2014 GA Resolution demonstrates is that the Organization is largely in the service of Washington and Brussels, partly because of the enormous financial dependency of the UN on the West. " I have read this assessment in different words elsewhere.

Not to keep beating the dead horse/monopolize the conversation when readers here no doubt have their sources and understand what's going on...But importantly, like Hersh's expose which wasn't really a revelation to most of those here, the UNSC testimony will likely go nowhere vis a vis the classic mechanical procedures...The point is both cases -article and testimony- accumulate further evidence for the record and to address the many kool-aid drinkers. Eventually - later rather than sooner, unfortunately there will be a tipping point....Btw - video of testimony is posted on anti-war.com today.

I second that thanks for the update. Well, well, well. The wheels are coming off in the info war between t US Empire and, well, almost everyone else.

Nigeria has presidential elections in two days. If Obi wins, there's our next war. Dude's a labor organizer or something who is governor of the only Nigerian state that had a surplus, came up with the Labour Party to challenge the imperial 2 party system, and is ahead in Nigerian polls. Blinken was shitting his pants today talking about how important the Nigerian election is.

Some in Twit World say Obi wants to join BRICS, and has massive younger generation support nationwide.

Nigeria. Oil. Uranium. Oil. Gold. Oil. All sorts of other rare earths. Oil. Pharmaceuticals. Oil. Like that. Help me keep an eye out, if you would.
