So the video and the Reuters and multiple reports on the war crime are not true? Those 90+ deaths didn't happen? The continued willful attacks on Israeli-declared safe zones aren't happening? The cowardly Israeli 'Defense' Forces aren't willing to do professional military actions to avoid civilian casualties?

Really?

So, following up on the Due Dissidence observation, if your local police called in an air strike to kill two bank robbers and (oh, well) killed 90 people and a couple of them just happened to be members of your family innocently walking by that would be okay?

Really?

The one quibble I would have with the reporting is that given the bombs, money and lies we provide to fuel the genocide it should be reported as "US/Israel Forces Bombed Designated Safe Zone, Killing Another 90+ Innocent Civilian Refugees."

It is the 'US/Israel genocide in Gaza'.

We are as dirty and guilty as the Israelis.

Really.

Absolutely. When you have no moral base to stand on: DISTRACT, DISTRACT, DISTRACT.

Israel defenders are looking more and more pathetic by the day and the members of Congress who have been bought off by AIPAC have completely lost any last scrap of legitimacy. They are all bought off.

Damn. Home run. Impressive as all git out. This young woman knows her shit.

I love the bit about the Israel/Palestine saga not being complicated at all, and how a Jew like herself raised to be a Zionist can see that Israel is, well, evil, and allowed to exist because it serves the interests of the US Empire.

I literally had a Jewish Zionist friend tell me a day or two after October 7th that "it's complicated". Complicated if you have no humanity. Perfectly clear and simple if you do.

I know, facts are tough to accept.

But time to man up, Steve, people are dying because of US/Israeli fascism. Find some courage -- and integrity -- and give a listen to this young Jewish woman: https://x.com/HumaZhr/status/1811270649291190554?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

Then there's this: "Zionism as a Fascist Ideology and Movement: Zionist Relations with Nazi Germany by Faris Yahya Glubb" ... this will take real courage, but is an excellent summary, well referenced and consistent with material in Tony Greenstein's book. You can download this one for free. .... https://liberatedtexts.com/reviews/zionism-as-a-fascist-ideology-zionist-relations-with-nazi-germany-by-faris-glubb/

You can even download a pdf of the book for free. Can't say the information isn't availbe to you.

I'll be getting that one out in a column soon and encourage people to spread it around.

Then there is this powerful documentary by a courageous Israeli filmmaker: "Documentary Film 'Tantura' Exposes The True Origin Of Israel & The Brutal Fascism It Represents ... Israelis are learning no matter how racist and entitled one may be, you cannot create a safe haven by creating a catastrophe for other people." https://mark192.substack.com/p/documentary-film-tantura-exposes

Now to anyone reading this, Steve probably won't have the integrity to check out these links, but you can. They are free and free of the putrid ZioNazi fascist propaganda spin from Tel Aviv and DC.

You are most welcome. I wish I could do more, but the most I can do is to tell people to their faces that if they support Israel then they are supporting genocidal maniacs.

I can get a little passionate on the subject, but I've discovered most Americans really do have a problem with women and children being slaughtered in job lots. Once they look at it, they start seeing through the doublethink.

Especially parents.

This week's ICJ's rulings are more nails in the Zionist project's coffin. Israel is digging its own grave and dragging the US (+/-) EU states along with it.....Though a long and painful process, Palestine will prevail!

Yeah, the walls are beginning to constrict, at least a little. The Port of Eilat has gone bankrupt, did you see that? The Yemeni blockade as shut it down. Some 46,000 Israeli businesses have permanently closed.

I plan to get some of that in my next Reflections.

I just read the UN statement tonight. The entire ICJ product was some 80 + pages. But the important thing to note - as damning as the statement is - is that the ICJ decision was initiated years prior to October 7 and covers Israeli behavior in its 75-year entirety....., not just the post October 7 atrocities. Its also worthwhile to recognize that mention is made of reparations to all of the Palestinian people (not just the thousands-millions afflicted within the past year). Though I feel that the geographic-legal scope of this decision is beyond my pay-grade, it does seem to me that the decision is very significant whose impact was as long in coming as it will be to have a MAJOR worldwide impact.

As a PS under the subject of bad week for Israel, Lavrov gave two pivotal speeches last week at the UN - one calling out the US and the rules based order, and another calling out Israel....Both were damning...Sorry, I go through so much can't remember if it was the UNGA or UNSC for each....I think this month that Lavrov is on a rotational chair of the UNSC...I did make copies of the speeches.

It doesn't matter. You're either already against genocide or you're not. Willing to quit a job over it or not. Americans don't care.

Trump taught the world that no matter how obvious the lie, it will work if listeners want it to work.

Israel now understands it need only keep lying. And that alone will paralyze us and give cover for any atrocity they or supporters wish to revel in.

It's all just hand wringing and crying and festivals on your day off.

The last time Americans actually tried to DO something for a large political reason they fell right into a trap.

And what did anyone have a right to expect given history? Our only hope from the west outside AI and black swans, is the money or bombs running out before Palestinians do.

Otherwise Israel will just kill every man woman and child of arab persuasion within range of their munitions.

I have a better opinion of my fellow citizens than you do. Manichean absolutes, such as what you just expressed, are always inaccurate. People can learn and can change.

If they didn't, we'd still have slavery and the divine right of kings or some other such crap.

Expand full comment
Innomen's avatar

You genuinely think we don't. All they had to do was change the names and suddenly all those real wars halted and now a king can fly to any corner of the world via gold plated jet in perfect safety. Some places just require a bigger security detail.

No more pesky slave revolts. No royals executed in basements. Not a single filthy peasant in ear shot of any them. No more pies in faces.

They didn't change the skin on the tyranny machine because they feared us, they did it because its more comfortable.

If people learned, religion wouldn't be a thing, and humanity would have united by now out of pure self interest.

It's manifestly obvious that facts do not persuade, they can only force via material power.

Ironically, the very fact that facts will not convince you is more proof that I'm right.

You realize that virtually everyone you've ever spoken to in America has all been fighting over 3% of the pie right? And that a handful of ancient families are the ones issuing the pie?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBZ_8JVfwA4 (<---<Watch this and tell me we don't have kings.)

Remember the Panama papers? Tell me that's not hard proof that the law just literally doesn't apply to our lords and owners.

The british empire didn't collapse, it became a bank.

The ONLY difference is that they found an easier way to rule.

I don't believe that Jerusalem is any more sanctified than any other place on planet because I'm not a monotheist, but the Pope Pius X made the right decision not to throw the Church's weight behind the Zionist ethnic cleansing project.

Consider mine a concurring opinion, and good on the Pope for that.

Too true. Few presidents have stood up to Israel--Eisenhower, Carter, Reagan, maybe Poppy Bush a time or two--and the US has the power to bring Israel to its knees.

I think we should use that power. Read up on the Suez Crisis of 1956 or when Reagan stopped Israeli bombing of Lebanon to see how easily it can be done.

Israel has pulled a fast one on the world. While we were all focused on the horrors of Gaza, the vile settlers, the police, and a small number of IDF have pretty much much completed the task of annexing the West Bank. It’s always the whip saw with the Israelis: whoever decided to let “Palestine” be split into Gaza and the West Bank played right into their hands.

Expand full comment
Tonyl's avatar

The moment is fast approaching when Israel as a country ceases to exist. This is the realization that the world should have come to way back in 1948; and it is because they did not come to this realization back then that the Palestinian people have had to pay the price in blood. In all this, the US has been a partner in crime and deserves to be sanctioned by the rest of the world. Unless rapid change for the better occurs, this moment will come for the US as well since its behaviour in the world has rarely been for good.

The first major moment to look for is when the proposal to banish the state of Israel from the UN happens.

On a related front, a major financial moment for the US is coming in October, but an intelligent observer may be able discern its outlines now. It is called BRICS and will cause people to realise that the US is not exceptional and it is then that 'we the people' may finally stand up and reclaim their government and, hopefully, execute a radical cleanout not only of your venal politician but also the structures of your government.

The majority of the American people are hardworking and fairminded (if uneducated and ignorant) and they dont deserve the crap dished out by their politicians.

Expand full comment
Ohio Barbarian's avatar

If I have any savings when BRICS comes out with their gold-backed currency, I'm going to trade as many dollars as I can for them. The value of the dollar WILL drop more, and the BRICS currency will definitely increase in value relative to the dollar.

Fun fact: You should be able to make a cash exchange at most banks. Just call and see if they do currency exchange.

Expand full comment
Tonyl's avatar

I think waiting for a BRICS currency is only a partial solution. To my way of thinking; it is better to use some dollars to buy strategically valuable investments now rather that allow dollars to languish in a bank. My point is to try to be proactive rather than reactive. When the shit hits the fan it will be too late to do anything really constructive. Dont wait for your dollar to lose half its value.

Expand full comment
Ohio Barbarian's avatar

Well, I don’t have enough money to “strategically invest,” so I have to stick to small-fry stuff.

Expand full comment
Tonyl's avatar

I understand OB; by 'strategically invest' I meant to stock up on those non-perishables that you are likely to need. Things like grains (rice, pulses etc); make a list of those items you noticed missing from the supermarket shelves at the height of COVID and buy those things while you can.

I know the above might seem extreme but give it some thought; I did want to intimate that what I anticipate is likely to be unlike anything previously experienced in the US economy (except, perhaps, the great depression).

Here, in Australia, we will not be immune to the worst effects of what's coming but we wont be as badly affected by financial collapse as you guys (because Australia is basically one big mine).

I have been banging on about this for some time now and, thankfully my 4 kids have all heeded my advice and divested themselve of all debt, the better to weather the storm.
