I've made comments on Common Dreams recently that get deleted because I talked about ivermectin & the dangers of the 'vaccines'. Nothing untrue of course. You can't even use the word 'ivermectin'. Not allowed. So much for what I thought was a decent left independent news site. They apparently have become part of the Trusted News Initiative.
Ivermectin is an antiparasitical drug, successful as a preventative against malaria, that many African countries decided to use the same way against Covid because it's cheap, plentiful, and their doctors are very familiar with it. Also because Big Pharma and Joe Biden won't give them the vaccine formulas. From all reports, ivermectin worked pretty well, probably because it strengthens the immune system.
Liberals hate it just because Trump said something nice about it once, and that's all it took. Big Pharma hates it because all the patents are expired and it is generic.
A few weeks ago, a now former liberal Democrat friend of mine called me a traitor for saying that the Capitol building was most definitely not a symbol of liberty or democracy anymore, but is now only a symbol of a corrupt oligarchy going through republican motions, like the Roman Senate before Caesar. Well, to be fair I also said I wouldn't have cared if the rioters had done unto it what was done to the Minneapolis Police substation.
I was just done with his Trump Derangement Syndrome and preaching about misinformation that had to be censored, and his bragging that he paid for the New York Times and Bezos Post to be delivered to his inbox every morning, and how I was obviously being fooled by Trumper news sources. I don't even visit Trumper news sources, but that doesn't matter.
As for the mainstream media, they've already lost the younger generations, and are rapidly sliding into irrelevancy. They can't just report facts, because they are paid by the oligarchy to report circumscribed, artificial propaganda narratives. Once in awhile one of their reporters will actually practice journalism, but that has become a rare event.
I think Breaking Points does a pretty good job reporting political and pandemic news these days, as does Jimmy Dore, Glenn Greenwald, and the Gray Zone. Other than that, I have better luck with foreign news sources, but one must be careful with them as well.

Nancy Pelosi was in charge of DC security that day. What she accomplished by shirking her responsibility for the security of the District was fully in keeping with every other means by which she obstructed the Trump presidency beginning on January 20 2017.
That the demonstration on 1/6/21 has been labeled an "insurrection" does less to alter the course of history than it does a dishonor to the lives of those who died defending the United States against a legitimate insurrection that began on April 12, 1861.
James Buchanan, a Democrat President in 1860, lost the election that year to the candidate of the fledgling Republican Party, first established in 1854. Their first-ever candidate, fielded in 1856, lost to Buchanan who had been selected to run instead of the Democrat incumbent Franklin Pierce.
The Republican's choice for 1860 – one Abraham Lincoln – did better than the one they ran in 1856. Buchanan had predicted that there would be a Civil War if the Republican won.
Merely campaign rhetoric?
Much has changed since then yet to my mind, with the current Democrat administration in DC doing everything it can to disrupt the legitimacy of our electoral process nationwide, it could be said that history is about to repeat itself.
