This is why Zelensky openly campaigned for Kamala and before that protected Biden Crime Family secrets in Ukraine. He can only work with leaders who are *in on the grift* like he is. He does not need to be persuasive or adroit when his hosts/audience and their tame media are in on the scam.
Ironically, it was the War Pig par excellence Lindsay Graham who warned Zelensky about both the appearance and demeanor he should display in order to get along with Trump. Zelensky flat-out refused to do that, probably because he just couldn't believe his ears after all of the fawning that has been heaped upon him for 3 years.
The damage is done. Trump's going to crucify him, or allow someone else to do so.
I read that Zelensky was told that this meeting was for the contract signing only, but he had brought his usual "atrocity" pictures and was doing the same Give Me Money thing. The pictures were supposedly of UKR POWs returned from Russia, and Zelensky said Russia has no rules. As if the Ukrainian soldiers did not shoot Russian prisoners for fun and post that on Telegram. Hopefully the gravy train has stopped running. Gratifying to see Zelensky realize the adulation and grifting days are over.
In other news, I doubt we will see the rest of the Epstein files. That was all about getting Trump, and all they have is Trump and his wife and daughter getting a couple of rides on the plane. What a disgusting mess, "our" government.
Bondi looks like a fool now. It's like she was surprised there were more than 120 pages of redacted info altogether. Considering she was Attorney General of Florida, that is completely unbelievable.
The only Epstein files that will be released are the ones the Zionists want released, and there don't seem to be too many of those for some mysterious reason.
I think all that Floridians remember about Bondi is that she fostered a dog found after Katrina and refused to give it back to the owners because it was (actually was) in pretty bad condition. Interesting Florida thing now - because DeSantis wants to be president next - a way to eliminate property taxes is being floated. I do not think people understand those taxes pay for infrastructure, and that money will have to come from somewhere else.
Very fair, I mourn for the people of Palestine being genocided and the world being too cowardly and afraid of Jews to stop it.
OTH if Harris had won sadly it would have likely happened anyway along with another world war which always seems to start over great powers machinations in Eastern Europe
The best reason anyone ever gave me for voting for Trump was the hope he would would end the Ukraine War and start dealing with the Russians again. Looks like he's going to deliver on that one.
The European leaders are losing their minds over Trump cutting the losses in Ukraine, but they're not concerned at all about the Palestinians. And they're SO sanctimonious about it! It's good to see them get spanked.
Good assessment. I will have to quibble with the Iran mention, of course, because the situation is exact the reverse of Arab dictatorships bordering the Jewish-supremacist colony.
In fact Iranians (90% at least judging by election turnout and independent polls) are sick to the back teeth of their fake-Islamic mafia sending their tax dollars to fuel a Palestine conflict that has nothing to do with them (think of it in US-Ukraine terms).
Their octogenarian, turban-clad theocrats represent them just about as well as Biden did Americans, or Von der Lyin does the European public.
In fact the same populist discontent is brewing all over the world, and it is a fatal mistake to view the dictatorship in Iran as any less out of touch than the kleptocrats of the EU. They're all in this swindle together, and they must all be kicked out.
I think the ayatollahs are there to be stooges in a global Punch and Judy show. How many Iranians have been blatantly assassinated in Iran? Nothing is done.
It would be so easy to overthrow the ayatollahs. All we have to do is lift all the sanctions, trade with them like we would with anybody else, treat them with some respect, and let Indo-European Persian culture do its thing.
Pizza, burgers, blue jeans and music are still America's best projectible soft powers.
'...towards a new détente with Russia and China...'
There seriously needs to be more diplomacy and dialogue between Trump and his relevant high-ranking officials with China, given how rabidly anti-China many in his establishment are.
As usual this is the big story for today and once again it's the same old story with people taking both sides. Linking several articles on this today, all with varying opinions @https://nothingnewunderthesun2016.com/
As usual, yours is included. As I tend to lean towards your view.
Another interesting read is from Jon Miltimore - "Was Zelenskyy's Oval Office Squabble Theater? After watching the Trump-Zelenskyy meeting go sideways, I asked myself how Zelenskyy could blow a deal he and his country need so badly. The answer may be quite simple: he didn't."
Zelensky was squirming so much I thought he was going to pee in his pants for a minute. Well, how many people have been publicly humiliated by the President AND Vice-President of the United States on LIVE television before?
I can't say the little troll didn't deserve it. Stupidity is, after all, the only universal capital crime.
I listened to the entire thing without the video on Greenwald’s podcast yesterday. The level of TDS you need to have to blame this debacle on either Vance or Trump would need to be extreme. I loathe Trump as much as the next sane human being, but FFS; you don’t talk to the people who issue your pay check like that if you want to keep your job. Even had this been a conversation among equals, you don’t act like that - you don’t interrupt, talk over, or lie over and over again to people who have receipts.
I wonder who gave Zelensky the advice to try and publicly humiliate Trump by treating him with that level of contempt and disrespect? I can’t believe he is just THAT stupid?
The only thing Zelensky could have hoped to accomplish by provoking Trump on LIVE television was to get the Europeans to pick up the American slack. The problem is that they can't.
I don't know, because I'm not a telepath, but I think Zelensky really believed all that shit about being the Hero of the West against the barbarous hordes of the East, and that in the end America would always back him up.
IOW, he's way out of his depth. He's the Peter Principle Cubed, promoted at least three levels above his level of competence and remaining there only by totalitarian rule because he doesn't know WTF else to do.
It is like he truly believes he will ride into Red Square on a white horse, throw Putin in jail, and then retire to a seaside mansion in Crimea. Because that was the script he was given. I am, as always, afraid of what he will do for spite now. The desperation to drag the US on to the battlefield really smells rank.
I'm keeping vigil for any indicators on the post smack down direction of Ukrainian public opinion. The little gnome now wobbles on the edge of that high, narrow pedestal he so proudly ascended, but if the Ukrainian public rejects his treatment in the US as high-handed and a betrayal, it may gall them into keeping him a while. I think it is somewhat more likely that war fatigue and an awareness of the hopeless military situation will see him shuffled off in short order. That would certainly suit Trump, as it checks off one of Russia's "Can't Negotiate Unless" boxes.
As for the obligatory huff and puff from EU kakistocrats, many of them are nervous AF about the Epstein client list, and B(l)ondi's apparent determination to out them all (the biggest hurdle there, imo, is Mr. Trump's presence in so many Epstein photos). The finance and war ministers of the EU are also telling their bosses that belligerence is silly, and that Russia knows it. Their one hope was that the US could force some sort of Korean-style stalemate on Russia, and Putin will have to lose his mind first.
Had I the megaphone to make them hear it, I would point it at the globalist financial cartels and remind them of a potent verse from scripture:
"As for that which is beyond thy comprehension, whether of the land, or of the sea, or of the sky, yea, even as to all which lies beyond the compass of thy wit; up thou shalt not fuck it, neither with it shalt thou fuck." Hodgeraniums 2:16
I saw Lindsay Graham come out and say the US could no longer deal with Zelensky. I wouldn't be surprised if he suddenly shows up in Belize with his ill-gotten gains, including his wife, or is assassinated, one of the two.
The Empire does not go out of its way to help its failed compradors.
My Spin: What we are witnessing now is the demise of the US Empire, and it has these effects; at home, massive purges of umpteen organs of government, State Department, CIA, FBI, USAID, Education Department etc. In addition, TARRIFS, (aka, window dressing), all attempts at cutting expenditure. Withdrawal from various forums, WHO, NATO etc. All attempts at stemming the bleeding and forestalling the collapse of the US dollar and economy. The truth of the matter is: THEY KNOW; they are facing catastrophe. They're broke.!!!!
The global south is coming to dominate the world of trade and finance. No longer can the US dollar (or even the threat to print more) underpin the forever wars !!! And the world will be better for this.
What more can we expect ? For the US the pain will be considerable (but, ultimately, necessary), I think the battle to save social security will be intense, the dismantling of big pharma is on the horizon. In the more distant future, I believe, the closing of many US bases (indeed, we are already beginning to see signs of this), the reestablishment of manufacturing industry (but only after a social restructuring of what currently constitutes part of the 'deep state', ie; I believe the banks will undergo 'rationalisation' (and they need to, they have always been at the heart of the problem). Despite Trumps hamfisted approach and his clumsy public persona, I think he understands that if these directions are not pursued then his presidency will preside over a revolution (which is likely to have a large human cost).
Abroad, I believe the western world at large will discover that Russia has no designs outside establishing a neutral Ukraine. Israel will meet with the stark reality confronting its continued existence and the violence in Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan will dissipate. Why ? because the malign support of the US will no longer exist to stoke the flames.
If it does come to Revolution, I think the people of the US will be a lot wiser about the powers of its government. This can only be a good thing.
Canada and the UK ( which just signed a 100 year deal with martial law Ukraine) are left holding an empty bankrupting bag of support for Ukraine.....and also facing US tariffs......Chrystia Freeland, the Ukrainian Canadian Lobby and Starmer must be shitting their pants!
I think your analysis of the political outcome is accurate. Indeed in the EU/UK we are witnessing the neoliberal-authoritarian ruling class's collective fear of their increasing irrelevance being echoed throughout its client-media and 'approved' opinion formers such as heavily promoted podcasts etc. However, are we about to replace something bad with something equally bad or worse? The real problem is the control of the political process by a relatively small number of incredibly wealthy people. While the nationalist-christofascist-mafia branch of the ruling class currently have the upper-hand on the neoliberal-authoritarian branch of the ruling class, what of tangible benefit is occurring for the working class? Their certainly isn't any improvement in democracy, even from the low level it is at presently. To me, it appears that the billionaires and their compradors who have given us a carefully curated version of democracy since the late 1970s and which has happily destroyed the wellbeing of the working class in the process, are still leading proceedings. All talk of benefits for the working class under the populist alternatives to the neoliberal-authoritarian project are hot air designed entirely to manufacture consent among the working class for the continuance of plutocracy. Until the levers of the power of the wealthy are smashed then nothing will change. In short, all Trump and populists across Europe represent is different hands on the same levers of control ie a change of driver of the train that delivers increasing wealth and control to a distinct minority only.
This is why Zelensky openly campaigned for Kamala and before that protected Biden Crime Family secrets in Ukraine. He can only work with leaders who are *in on the grift* like he is. He does not need to be persuasive or adroit when his hosts/audience and their tame media are in on the scam.

I was totally shocked when Lindsay Graham came out swinging against Zelensky. Perhaps because the grift will stop.
Ladybugs is like ShitStain. Always wants to bomb someone.

You mean these ones?
https://uadraftmuseum.ch/
Because these are the ones the rest of the world is looking at in horror and disgust.
Damn. Thanks. I am afraid much of the world will consider this deep fakes - more convenient.

Sanctions are definitely the mullahs' perennial excuse. Meanwhile Russia has beaten far worse ones, showing what liars they are

oh no, he really did blow it. He’d need to be a much better actor to be faking that body language.
