I am just showing walks through the Tokyo Christmas lights on my TV today. Great memories. The Japanese do not actually observe Christmas as an official holiday, but what extravagantly beautiful lighting displays! The streets and the stores. Gifts and cards - but work as usual on Dec. 25. Plus KFC as a bonus.
I am trying to imagine what the local, national, and worldwide views and thoughts on the drone stuff and wars and elections and Blake Lively (I am on her side) would have been like without the internet. Although, gotta say, that friends with the same access as I have have some completely and wildly differing views on things. Actually, the internet has really changed so much for us at a very basic level. Yeah, instant gratification, but - instant access to so many different sources of news and opinions thereof. I can see why governments can be livid.

I wish I had your confidence and that I was brave and organized enough to write and share my own thoughts and analyses on this crazy world we live in.
