Sorry for your loss. We had a chihuahua we used to call her Tiki the killer chihuahua. She had a foul disposition, even by chihuahua standards. She used to sleep in the bed with us. We used to call her the “bed warden” because she would bite us if we moved at night.
God Damn Right it is. You know I know your pain :( There are no words. I would have frozen Lu for later revival if I could have. I did save some material for future cloning. I still miss him. He didn't deserve any of this. I'm essentially certain you did a better job than me. I wish your kitty had lived.
Rip to your kitty. Just over two years ago we had to put our dog of 16 years down due to failing kidneys. I took it rough, but I'm better now. He was my bes- is my best friend and always will be. Miss you Peanut.
He was a Shih Tzu-Poodle Mix with white and brown fur like peanut butter and fluff.
I feel like every pet I have ever had is curled up in a corner of my heart. And I can assure you that I am mostly quite cynical. OB's lovely eulogy (he could actually do that professionally, IMO) has me thinking about all of them. A great reminder of how there is beauty in this sometimes ugly world. Crap. Now I feel sentimental in public.
I am sorry - I know how hard this is for you. Augustus (Gusty) made it to 25 or so, and Juniper to around 11 from kidney failure. She was ready and left with my hand on her.
I keep good memories of both, and I know you will too.
I’m so sorry your cat died!! They are truly amazing pets and it’s so hard when they go. My three cats are all seniors themselves, so I know it’s just around the corner…
Kelly sounded like a great cat, again I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️
Sorry for the loss of your fur baby. I thought our tuxedo cat Bowtie could be annoying at times, but actually he's pretty laid back for a stray kitty rescued from the well of a basement window. RIP Kelly.
Hi Bro, bummer about the cat. But before that, did you know it is a real pita to log into this place. I would post more often if it were not for the login procedure. Then again, maybe it is a good thing the login is a hassle. But for this event, I will make the effort to post.
But before we start chumming each with greetings and the sounds of bagpipes blaring out of our cell phones. First a question, then a critique. On with the question...
What kind of person plays Amazing Grace performed by someone playing a bagpipe. On a cellphone never-the-less. It must have sounded so bad it was inching into the territory of slap-stick , underwear and a birdcage over the head comedy. Some poor sap had to stand in as an observer to this ritual while resisting all temptation to crack a joke or bust out into a belly laugh. I mean, somebody must have had a smile on their face during this moment of loss service. I understand a lost a furry friend is sadly traumatic, but were you saying good-bye or what? More on this later.
I, myself, being a caretaker of a cat, past and present. Furthermore, being the caretaker of not just one, but two Siamese Cats at the same time. Well, I consider myself to be an expert on the subject of Siamese Cats. Let us start here, a Siamese Cat is a cat, at the same time not a cat, but presents itself as a cat while reminding you not to believe your eyes. If this sounds like an encounter with a being of a third kind, you are not far off. Siamese Cats not only read, but also manipulate the caretaker like they have a magic wand in their possession.
Here is something you do not do to a Siamese Cat, which is, sick you dog on this larger than 10 pound being. The outcome will not be beneficial to the dogs mental and physical well being. The dog will take months to recover (if at all), and never trust you again. Here is what happens, the Siamese Cat will get the dog into a jujitsu choke-hold and proceed to pull out fur and flesh by the paw full. Namely on the top of the dog's head. It will be like watching some piss ant county getting a wild hare injected into its backside. Then sticking its crusty, corrupt finger up the nose of Russia. There will be nothing to laugh at. It will be a sad predictable spectacle. In this case, sucks to the dog.
Now imagine this, it is 3am in the morning and said caretaker is getting a good nights sleep. That is until the caretaker is woken up by the sound of purring and someone playing with the hair protruding out of his ears. Please remember, there are two of these rascals, one on each side of the caretakers head. In other words, a Maxwell hair in the wind wonderment, mind blowing state-of-the-art hifi kitty stereo. At least the cats were having a good time.
If you are forewarned, you are now forlorn, but not if the cat named Kelly can help it. Remember, this is a cat you are dealing with. According to the Egyptians, cats are the guardians of the underworld. Please pull up a chair, some of mystery will be explained. In-spite of your best intention good-bye, and Kelly being put into her final resting place, spiritually she may not have left the house as of yet. You may hear her vocalizations (day or night), or feel her presents in some off hand way. You may even see her run though the house, then disappear as quickly as she appeared. This is normal. Kelly's spirit has not transitioned to the next plane. It maybe disturbing and very creepy, but it will pass. For the most part, things will return to normal.
Thank you for sharing your kitty's wonderful life.
Yeah, the Democrats do suck. But, so do the Republicans.
May Kelly’s spirit dance in your heart! I’ve had nearly 20 cats over the course of my life (used to live in a farm and many just showed up there), but there was one, Camus, who was very special. She died in early 2019, but I still miss her greatly. I have two cats at the moment, “Buster Posey” and “Joey Votto”. Seig Heil!
RIP little cat. 😿
That was beautiful. And I understand the loss. Thank you.
Very sorry for your loss.

I have a miniature pinscher who may have some chi, I know that feel. She knows she's the boss of the house.
Your wife plays the bagpipes?
LOL. No, she played a recording on her phone.
I am sorry for your loss, the animals we live with are the best people.

16. That's a ripe old age for a dog. You know it's coming, but it doesn't make it any easier.
I'm sorry for your loss. I've never had animals much in life, but I do understand how they are loved by people.
