Hope he is doing better! I went through the crazy system last year My little practice is a scam where they take your blood then charge you for every little piece of information IE red blood cell count 50$
Iron level 50dollars. Mind you I have insurance but when we saw the bill I was so pissed off! I am now switching but that has taken 1/2 a years to get an appointment. They do not want to take anyone on Medicare so lucky me I have 1 more year then they can’t get rid of me.
Confused by your reference to a Russian doctor treating your stepdaughter. After puzzling on it, I am guessing you mean someone who had been born in Russia, then emigrated and did residency training in the US. (That is the only way one can work as a doctor in America.) IOW, an ex-Russian who fled utopia to have a healthcare career in America, as so many do. All of America’s immigrant doctors must make your blood boil.
You should be seeking out doctors who fled in the opposite direction: American-born people who moved to civilized Russia for medical training and career. Or at the very least, find American-born doctors who are only in America grudgingly, due to accident of birth.

Most working class Americans are now so beaten down that they barely notice the casual cruelty that dominates their lives.
I'm glad a few of us can still feel outrage.
